Frequently Asked Questions and Information
WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF ORDERING A CAKE?
We recommend that you make an initial enquiry via the contact and order form giving us your date, number of serves, delivery location and design ideas so we can give you a price indication. A 30% deposit is required to secure a booking.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED TO TAKE A BOOKING ?
We recommend 2-3 weeks (3-6 months for wedding cakes) as a minimum to place an order. This is also subjected to availability. We only have limited spots each week so do contact us sooner rather than later to avoid any disappointments.
DO YOU CATER FOR ALLERGIES OR INTOLERANCE ?
Yes we do! We operate out of a nut-free kitchen and have a variety of egg free, dairy free and or gluten free flavours. Please however note that the kitchen and equipments used to produce the goods do come in contact with egg, dairy and gluten. Although extra care is taken to prevent cross-contamination, there may be traces of such allergen. Please ensure that this information is communicated to your guests.
HOW DO I STORE THE CAKES?
The cakes are best enjoyed at room temperature. The best storing temperature would be between 15 -22 degrees celcius. Please do not store fondant iced cakes in the refrigerator as the condensation after being taken out of the refrigerator may ruin the design. Please store left over cake in an air tight container in the refrigerator and consume within a week.
HOW DO I TRANSPORT MY CAKES?
We would recommend transporting the cake flat on the floor of the front passenger seat with the air conditioning on and driving carefully around corners. Larger wedding and celebration cakes will be delivered due to extreme delicacy, require temperature control and timed deliveries. An extra delivery fee may apply depending on location.
