About Me


I am Suat Ling (pronounced SWAT just like an American Police Special Weapons and Tactics team). The majority find that too hard to pronounce or never remember my name so I tell everyone to call me Ling.


My passion for baking and all things sweet started 16 years ago when I made my nephew's first decorative birthday cake. I had such a ball with it, I started making custom cakes for family and friends. After the birth of my third child I made the tough decision to leave my career as a corporate accountant to spend more time with my young family and pursue my passion. I decided to turn my hobby into a business which led to the birth of Cakes & Stuff.

Cakes & Stuff is a fully insured home based business which is also registered with the NSW Food Authority and complies with the NSW government’s strict food safety standards. We are based in Killara (North Shore suburb of Sydney), NSW.


We offer artistically designed cakes, cupcakes, cookies and cake pops which are both exceptional in looks and taste. Each custom creation is baked from scratch using recipes which have been tested and perfected over the years. As quality is of utmost importance, we use premium ingredients including free range eggs, couverture chocolate and professional grade fondant.


No design is too outrageous. If you have a cake dream, we can design it.
